Hydrant System
Hydrant-Sprinkler In a building, a fire hydrant system is an emergency equipment required in all buildings that comprises a series of components that when assembled together provide a source of water to assist fire brigade personnel. Putting it another way, a fire hydrant system is a water supply with a sufficient pressure and flow delivered through pipes throughout a building to strategically located network of valves for fire-fighting purposes. In Bangladesh, the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) sets out the Deemed-to-Satisfy (DtS) provisions for a fire hydrant system required in buildings to the degree necessary to facilitate the needs of the fire brigade for- fire-fighting operations and the floor-area of the building; and the fire hazard. Hydrant Sprinkler is thermo-sensitive quarzoid liquid glass bulb burst actuated type and be standard products from an established firm of repute and standing and approved by an appropriate authority for firefighting duty. All sprinklers is brass castings polished / chrome OR white (polyester) unless stated otherwise and rated for 12.0 KG/CM2 WG and factory tested for 34.0 KG/CM2. Sprinklers are pendant OR side wall type as specified and shown on drawings. All sprinklers shall be provided with an adjustable OR Rosettes escutcheons finished same as the sprinkler head.
